Mr. Pearson has been involved in the tax advisory, negotiation, resolution and litigation of disputes on a national and multinational basis in the construction, airline, automotive, government services, Tax and financial services, mining, pipeline, petroleum and transportation industries. He has mediated, arbitrated, litigated and advised regional and local clients in transfer pricing and tax management, the evaluation and resolution of claims and disputes involving home and commercial construction, environmental services, creative design, chemical manufacturing, warehouse and logistics, food & beverage manufacturing, construction supply, metal & vehicle fabrication, trucking, printing, ambulance & public safety services, public sector governmental entities, casinos, restaurant and beverage sales, and healthcare services, professional service providers, real estate development, and commercial building real estate management.
Wame is a duly accredited tuition provider for ADIT for Tax professions in Malawi and Uganda and frequently lectures to both professional and industry organizations on litigation and tax advisory topics.
He also serves as local IBFD correspondent for Malawi and a contributor to IBFD. His effective communication skills provided practical counsel on a wide variety of legal issues, as he advised owners and executives on the efficient resolution of tax claims, implementation of robust transfer pricing tools and risk management of structured business transactions. Mr. Pearson’s prior legal experience also includes Lead Tax Expert on Taxation of Digital Economy in Malawi for a well-known, World Bank Funded Project, and Big 4 – Ernest and Young – Malawi as Tax Consultant.
